Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German actress on television and film best known for her performances in films such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. As the only daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra entered showbiz early and landed up performing lead roles in various TV dramas before she turned 16. Her fame was due to her performance as a character in Der Tunnel. This paved the way to other memorable performances, like Adolf Hitler's secretary of state Traudl Junge. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films featuring the diva. Over the years Alexandra was involved in numerous noteworthy national and international projects. Some of these include the British biographical documentary Control, the Greek movie The Dust of Time, as well as the French historical mini-series Napoleon. She was also an adjudicator at the Transylvania International Film Festival as in The Cannes Film Festival.
